The Val Verde County primary election will take place on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. In March, registered voters will choose which candidate will represent their political party in the general election. The general election for Val Verde County is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2026. In November, the winners of the primaries will compete for the official office seat. During the primaries in March, a candidate must receive more than half of the votes cast to gain a majority vote. If no candidates achieve majority vote in the initial vote, a runoff election will take place. If necessary, a primary runoff election would be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
