Freezing Temps Expected Early Sunday Morning

The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for Val Verde and Kinney Counties.

A social media post from DRN’s meteorologist Alexander Menchaca overviews the coming conditions:

“A cold front moved in last night, bringing cold air that will cause temperatures to drop below freezing for the first time this winter. The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning effective from 3 am to 9 am on Sunday morning. Residents are reminded to take necessary precautions for the 4 Ps: People, Pets, Plants, and Pipes. Tonight’s lows are expected to reach 32°F in Val Verde and Kinney County.
