Good afternoon, Del Rio!

As we work to recover from our newspaper and implement our original goals when I first started this business; we continue to push our belief that we are leading the digital change. With this comes new shows and revolutionary ways (locally) to better provide you with information.

DRN25: Evening News will be presented in a more serious tone as we report world news and local news that relates to proper investigative journalism, community concerns, and pertinent information from local entities. Amanda Lozano has a strong history in news media and comes excited to work with DRNN. Amy Haynes and Beazy De Leon both have a strong history in education and are also excited to get the news out to the community.

The show will take place on Wednesday’s from 7PM-7:30 PM and will eventually serve both the Del Rio and Eagle Pass community. Yes, We are continuing our study on our neighboring city! We’ve already received lots of message of support from Eagle Pass, TX urging us to cover their community! While we are excited to make the push, we also believe it needs to be done properly. When we’re sure we can serve Eagle Pass, TX well; you all will be the first to know!

With that in mind it’s important to understand why we’re doing what we’re doing. We see a future where Del Rio is sprung forward into the future matching and sometimes uniquely presenting news like bigger cities in Texas! We see a better digital infrastructure for our community and the surrounding areas.

Speaking to many news related companies over the course of our business has taught us that our region of Texas is considered a “blackout” area. This means there is no dedicated news station in our area. Ultimately, we want to establish a news station and wipe this region clean of the “blackout” status.

With nothing but the best intensions at heart, we aim to serve you. Thank you for sticking along and we look forward to broadcasting this show later this year.

Thank you,

Willard Jenkins

President of Del Rio News Network
