Smoking Building at DRT Airport

Reports of smoke coming from a US Customs & Border Protection building at DRT airport sent firefighters to the scene at approximately 1:30PM on Wednesday. The cause of the smoke is unclear. There are no reports of injuries at this time, though the building was evacuated.

We’ve reached out the City of Del Rio for further information. We’ll report back when more information becomes available.

STOLEN TRUCK RECOVERED; SUSPECT ARRESTED

On April 3rd, 2025, at approximately 11:57 a.m. the Del Rio Police Department responded to the 1300 block of East Gibbs regarding a stolen vehicle. The victim reported his 2002 Chevrolet truck had been stolen from the location while he was inside the store.
