Second AutoZone coming to Del Rio, amid ongoing business growth

Del Rio continues to attract national chain businesses, reinforcing its status as a growing hub for retail and commerce. In recent years, the city has experienced a surge in new retail stores, restaurants, and hotels, driving economic development and job creation.

One of the latest additions to the local business landscape is a second AutoZone store, set to be built at 800 E. Gibbs Street on the former site of Sunshine Car Wash.

This expansion strengthens AutoZone’s presence in the community, complementing its existing location at 2400 Veterans Blvd and enhancing service accessibility for Del Rio’s growing automotive market.

The 6,786-square-foot store is tentatively scheduled to begin construction in May, with completion expected by September.

Memphis-based AutoZone currently operates 1,596 auto parts stores nationwide.
